The UMT system can be deployed over a large area for synchronized regional data acquisition. Independent channel configuration (including gains, filters and sensor type) enhances data quality in noisier areas with highly polarized signals.
Both hardware and software benefit from these and other design improvements, facilitating efficient, high-density data acquisition. This system allows the geophysicist to acquire high density data on a denser survey grid in more challenging conditions, leading to better geophysical interpretation.
Equipped with broadband induction sensors the UMT system measures responses from 10,000 Hz to 100,000 seconds and beyond. Fluxgate sensors can also be used. Low power consumption, a solar power option, and a very low noise floor makes the system highly effective for deep earth research.
